Support and assistance on arrival and during the period of stay

Academic aspects: those students who will come to do undergraduate studies, will contact with the head of international Office in the school they will study. Those students for Master or PhD, will contact with the department or school in charge of the program and they help with all the academic information. VIsa: We contact with the Embassies to inform them about the students who awarded a scholarship, so that they can speed up the issuing of the visa procedure. Accommodation: International Affairs Office at UPV help students to find accommodation. we send them information about hall of residences close to UPV where they can stay during the first days of their scholarship and we help them to do the booking. Then we inform them that the cheapest option is to share a flat with some other students.We help all the students in any doubt they have. Bank account: we inform students what they have to do to open a bank account in order to receive the subsistence allowance.

The UPV provides a free service to students to help them find accommodation that meets their expectations and needs. Language courses on offer

The Language Centre and its Language Unit offer different services in the field of foreign languages to the whole university community. Its main goal is to create a flexible academic-administrative structure to fulfil the University's needs in the field of foreign languages and to facilitate its incorporation into the European Space for Higher Education. Support to disabled people

The CEDAT is a service inside UPV that offers information and advice to members of the University community with disabilities, accompaniment and support in the classroom. Provides technical assistance for the study to those students who, by their special educational needs, so require. Promotes and manages training and employment for this group actions within and outside the campus of the UPV, and provides different services from its special Center of Employment. CEDAT do studies and projects of removal of barriers architectural and town-planning, comprehensive plans of accessibility, audits in terms of accessibility, projects and advice, review and design of ideal models are carried out.

 

Monitoring Activities

We send the students a document ( monthly certificate of permanence) so that they send it to us the last 5 days of each month. With this document we have a control of the permanence of the students at UPV. At the end of each semester we ask the directors of the school and departments the transcript of records of the students

 

Integration events organized by the University

At the beginning of their stay we do a Welcome Day; we do a visit along our campus and we show them the most important places inside UPV. On Christmas we do an international Nativity Scene in our office with little figures of all the Erasmus Mundus countries. On March, as we celebrate Fallas, we do a big party so that our students can taste the tipical PAELLA. The Students has to do a typical dessert of their own country.
